How many times have you purchased meat from a supermarket and thought “That was a pretty ordinary steak, or that was really fatty mince”, and you had paid a fortune for it?  Kisandra Natural Beef don’t want you to have that experience ever again!

At Kisandra Natural Beef our product is of the highest quality. All of our animals are milk fed vealers of a live weight between 380kg – 430kg at 10 – 11 months of age. This means that all of our animals remain with their mother until the day they are processed. All they consume is milk, water, green pasture, silage and hay, which produces prime quality beef grown the natural way!

The milk vealer is often described as `sappy ’. This description means that the meat is tender and juicy as the animal is still receiving all of the benefits of their mother’s milk.

This is prime beef!

The art of milk vealer production is one that is slowly being lost. Many producers have felt the pressure from the big supermarkets to produce a different type of product that can be sold to grain feedlots for a lesser amount and can then be grown much faster using a grain product to accelerate growth. 

At Kisandra Natural Beef we believe that meat should be grown slowly and naturally.
All of our meat is processed through a licensed, quality assured and approved abattoir just 10 minutes from our home. Less travel time for the animal means less stress and a better product. 

The carcass is then refrigerated and `hung’ for 10 days to allow the best possible eating condition.

The meat is then butchered by our experienced local retail butchers Anthony and Emily Mitchell from Mitchell & Co Traditional Butchers in Wonthaggi.

All meat is packed on trays and clearly labelled as to the cut of the meat. To help you to gain the very best from all of our products please see our recipes page.
